Is there any way to set navigation settings so that it only shows direct path for just flying? I don't want to use any flight paths, just hearth/portals then fly directly there. Thank you in advance!

Changing the slider to the speed side will do more of you flying instead of flight paths. The comfort side will prefer flight paths.

I do have it all the way over to speed side but it still has me trying to use every single flight path it can.

What speed flying do you currently have learned? If you do not have Master Riding from level 40 then the flight paths will be faster than you flying on your own.

No, but why is that a requirement? Even if I don't have Master Riding, I'd still rather just use my flying mount. I don't want to spend 5k gold on 10 characters just for that.

Edit: I just got on a character that had Master Riding, still had me use flight paths for an objective.

The travel system calculates how long it will take to get somewhere via many different routes and then gives you the fastest route based on your comfort slider. If taking a flight path is calculated to be faster then it will tell you to use the flight path.

How does the travel system know how long loading screens are for example to make truly meaningful suggestions? I mean, if it tells me to hearth out of Nazjatar to then use a portal to get back to get me from the south to the north part of the map instead of just flying, I would assume it knows that each loading screen is almost 2 minutes for me and flying would by faster ALWAYS instead of loading screens. In 4 minutes I can circle the map 2 to 3 times.

Please, please, please add an option that turns all the smarts off. Not a slider. Just: "Point me to where I need to go." The way it is right now, no matter the settings, is just horrible if you have bad load times.

Turning the Travel System off entirely will beeline you directly to destinations. Would this be sufficient or do you want all the "smarts" except the flight masters.

Ah, that's perfect! Thank you so much! For some reason, I was under the impression that disabling the navigation would actually turn off the arrow all together. Will it still point me to a cave entrance first for objectives that are hidden within caves for example?

Okay, almost perfect. When it comes to switching between continents it now presents you with an "x" instead of suggesting a teleport or portal. I guess making the recommendation of Flight Masters optional but leaving the travel system on may still be the better option.

When travel system is turned off it will point to a cave entrance only if the step has an embedded waypoint (precise travel directions) to take you there first. You can toggle seeing those precise travel directions by clicking on the footprint icon on the guide viewer. The lines you see above the accept/kill/turn-in lines are normally waypoints for precise directions to help guide people better especially when on foot.
