    Spam

    Anyone receiving spam for Viagra on their mails?

    I only use the email I have for zygor and logging into blizzard, and I doubt blizzard would spam me. it also (if you look in the headers) looks like phpbb based messages being sent.

    Anyway, changed my email address to a zygor specific one, so if I receive spam on there I know it's from this place... shouldn't have used my primary blizzard login for this anyway...

    This forum runs on VBulletin not phpBB, which you can see by looking at the bottom of the main forum page. Do you frequent any other forums that might be the culprit?

      I Lol'd IRL.

      Make sure you don't have your email visible to anyone as well.. (in the options).
      I am CDO. This is a lot like OCD, except the letters are in alphabetical order... as they should be.

        I find it hard to imagine anyone is trolling Zygor guides and then spamming the members for viagra. LOL
        Who has time for that anyway... means you have to log off WoW. As if!

          Yea, sorry if it sound like accusing you guys. And no I don't frequent any other forums with my WoW email as primary, I usually create each forum it's own email (I own and run my own mail server)

          How these guys harvest mails is by going through boards with bots and getting mails. I usually private everything (I even put myself invisible as to not show when I'm online)

          But yea, it MIGHT have been somewhere else because I've been using the same login for the past 6 years now.

          I hate spam. Especially the viagra kind. If they were spamming me weed, then I'd be interested

            Do you use a web-based email like gmail? If so, spammers do send out millions of emails using random names in hopes they're real emails

                  I started getting directed in-game spams. Instead of the normal trade channel "we have cheap gold" not I have gotten three different whispers straight to me about buying gold.

                  It is everywhere!!!

                      For the ingame /2 trade chanel spammer there is the addon "BadBoy" from curse.com.
                      For the direct tells, reply at once about feeing Tibet from China's rule.
                      China monitors EVERYTHING, and anything politically forbiden to discuss there is your best weapon.
                      Get enough people to do this, and they will be shut down from the ISP.
