Best professions for gold making?

hey im a lvl 80dk and im wondering which profession will get me gold easily?
currently i have alchemy at 250 and im wondering what other profession?

Any of the gathering professions are the way to go for making gold. Which one is best really depends on your server's economy but normally it's a safe bet to go with mining.

Mining does seem to be a solid money making prof. It gets rather boring to me with all of the flying in circles hunting ore with 10-20 other people in the same zone doing the same. But... it supplies my JC and builds up a big buffer in my bank. Look on the AH for what sells best. Ore? Skins? Cloth? Gems?

Find what sells best and try that. Keep two things in mind though:
1) what sells best today may sell poorly in 2 weeks
2) each prof has a little side bennie (mining +sta) so pick one that benefits your toon

Get the mining high enough you can sell titanium ores in stacks of 5. Smelt saronite into bars, then transmute it into titanium (max your alchemy). Then smelt the titanium into titansteel to sell -- the only thing you may not get enough of on your mining gathers would be eternal fire (crystallized fire x 10) and it can be farmed if needed (flame things in Wintergrasp and Borean Tundra).

Mining and Engineering are great. I make motorcycles and sell them for a huge amount of gold. Granted they take a lot to make, but the amount I get from one pays for itself and then some.

How much do you sell your bikes for? I know prices vary server to sever but I was just curious. My DK is Engineer/Enchanter. I plan on starting a new toon on another server that was going to do mining/engineer.

Anywhere from 19-20K

Prices did drop to 16.5k, but that's barely a profit.

How much do you charge if the mats are provided?

The cost of the recipe from the vendor and an additional 2-3k depending on if I travel. I'm a mage so it's easy

Every toon I've ever made I've been mining/skinning from level 5. By the time I ding 80 I usually have a few thousand gold to play with.

If you're on frequently, I've found Herbalism to be extremely profitable. Sometimes stacks of herbs will be low (2-5g range), but a day or two later can be going for 20-40g a stack. If you have a bank alt just check the AH a few times a day you could probably buy/sell herbs and make good money.

That's how I leveled my mage. Engineering takes a lot from mining and skinning so I saved a bunch of mats from each and mastered engineering pretty much instantly once I hit 80.

I highly suggest leveling with mining & skinning and supplying crafters with mats, or becoming a crafter yourself.
