Rogue PVE DPS?

Anyone have any good suggestions for rogue pve builds? I just hit 80 last night and need to maximize dps asap so i can run heroics w/out being kicked, lol. I leveled with Combat as suggested and was doing 1200 dps in green gear at 77 - 80. That just won't cut it. Any ideas to try would be great, thanks!! I think the guide shows a pvp guide, which I'll check out later. PS, this isn't guide related so didn't post up there.

I've been doing heroic pug's with the same combat leveling build and haven't had one complaint about dps. I've been reading up on Mutilate builds, but just aren't that familiar with them.

Not sure about your rotation, but I make sure Slice N Dice is up at all times, spam SS until 5 combo points are up, then Evis if I don't need to refresh SnD. Other than that, you should be using all of your cooldown abilities as much as you can. (Blade Flurry goes well with Killing Spree, Adrenaline Rush every 3 min), and make sure to have poisons up.

You gotta remember in terms of total dps you won't be up there with any mage or lock who can AOE a huge pull, but your single target DPS should be fantastic. I haven't done ICC, but I've done most every heroic without it being an issue.

Just pug the heck out of your character, spend badges on gear, roll Need on any drop that's better than what you have, and your gear/dps will shoot up in no time.

I have the rotation down, just need the gear. But mostly curious if assass tree is better.

Awesome information here. Changing from Combat to Mutilate upped my dps by 400 right away. Just need to get the rotations down now.
