hunters ??

I've got. Lvl 62 hunter just wondering who' got higher lvl hunters what kinda gear and weapons there using pets etc. Just tamed a chimerea that I really like and got a gorilla but just kinda looking for lttle tips and such and just started doing pvp have been reading a lot on elitist jerks but some of that stuff wears me down but still good info and I do belief going to pick up blacksmith for some bonus don't remember which one though

If you are doing instances the wolves are the best pet by far and will provide the best boost to your DPS. If you are solo questing and are a BM spec, then I suggest grabbing a devilsaur, I actually used mine as a tank when I soloed the Ring of Blood quests in Nagrand at 65. As for weapons and armor, I use whatever I can get my hands on, while leveling the I go through gear like dwarfs go through beer. Just look for your key stats which would be Agility, Attack Power, Critical Strike, and Armor Penetration. When you get to 80 you can add hit to your list as well.

Blacksmithing is a good raid profession because of the extra sockets you can add to your bracers and gloves. They can be gemmed any way you like without having to worry about gem color and stat bonuses. While leveling I am partial to skinning as it gives me an additional source of income from the skins. Most of the hunters I see these days seem to have mining and engineering as professions.

Also on some of my hunters I have been using skinning/herbalism to level with.Sometimes it helps with that rare Oh Crap!! moment and need another way to heal yourself.
