I currently have the 1-80 Alliance guide. I have 4 80's now (3 of which the guide helped make). I am kind of bored with Alliance at the moment and am considering going to Horde part time to spice the game up.

If I purchase this 1-80 Elite Guide offer on the front of the webpage ($60 for both Alliance and Horde) will that be updated to 1-85 Catacalysm for free? Technically that would be the great deal since the Horde guide would be $40, and each update to Cata would be $20 right? Just thinking in saving money long-term.

Ok. You want to buy the Alliance and Horde Guide together for $60. If you buy now the guide will be ugraded to cata for free. Now you can also can just buy the Horde for $40 and the Alliance Upgrade for $20. Which will be the same price. You don't need to buy the upgrade for the horde since it's included right now for free. It's up to you. But unless you just want to buy the alliance again I would go with the second option since it's the same price.
