Not able to install Guides

    Not able to install Guides

    Hey guys

    Just wonding if anyone else has run to to the same problem am trying to install the guides on a fresh XP system and from some reason the updater gives me to old microsoft error message about the istaller needing to to close I have made sure .net is installed and up to date have also tried runing as administrator that goes a bit further to what I assume would me the EULA but the stops and gets the not responding error.

    Any help would be apprecated as I have used the guides for quiet a while now and love them.

    Which version of .NET did you install?

    Also, moving this to the Technical Support forums where it should be.

      I started with 2.0 first then tried upgrading to the latest.

        Ok, have you tried downloading the Updater again? Maybe you accidentally got a corrupt download.

          First of all thanks for attempting to help me.

          Yes have tried redownloading the updater several times.

          Thoughts?

            Hmm... after installing all of the .NET stuff did you reboot your system?

                Ok, since you say it's a fresh XP install, have you done all of the updates for XP?

                Just trying to think of anything that might keep the Updater from running.

                    Hmm, unless you have some kind of hardware problem I'm not sure what else to think for why XP bombs out trying to run the Updater. You might have to use the manual install.

                    I'd suggest sending an email to zygor @ zygorguides.com (remove the spaces) and ask him if he can come up with any ideas on the problem. He might not answer it until morning if he's already gone to bed, but he's good with getting stuff going for people.
