    updater not working

        Have you ran it as adminstrator? Do you have the latest version of the .Net Framework? The updater requires at least the 2.0 .Net Framework. Do you use a antivirus like Bitdefender? If you do try disabling all parts of it and try again.

          i do have the most current .net installed. I am running mcafees. I haven't disabled anything nor have I tried to run as administrator.

          Funny thing is that I'm having the same issue on my laptop which is windows7, 64 bit.

          It used to work on both machines and then stopped for some reason. I will try running as administrator tonight.

            Try disabling that McAfee stuff for just running the Updater. There have been some odd issues where the different anti-virus programs are trying to block the Updater even tho the Updater is completely clean.
