Updater Reads unable to connect to remote server

I am using the current .net Framework and i am running a PC with windows 7
i have tried several times to remove and reinstall the program, but nothing is working ... i use the zygor update installer ... it says checking for updates ... then an error message:
HTTP Error: Unable to connect to the remote server

my internet seems to be working just fine everything is good but no dice!

Do you have any anti-virus programs like BitDefender running? If so they sometimes interfere with the update process until you disable them completely. It's not known why this happens yet.

Couple basic things to check on. First, are there any updates for the .NET framework in your Windows Update? If so make sure they're installed. Second, the most basic thing, have you tried re-booting your system?

Well, unfortunately that's about the best I'm able to help you with. One of the main team will have to look this over and try to figure out what's going on. In the meantime you should be able to do a manual installation. The link to get that file is in the Members Area below the link to download the updater.

Oh, one thing I forgot that is another of those off the wall things. Do you by chance have any characters other than numbers or letters in your password? Characters like (*&^%$#@!). If so log into the Members Area and change your password to only letters and numbers as those special characters can sometimes throw the Updater for a loop.

Have you tried to repeatedly install the guides for 5 minutes? This will make sure there is not a communicaion error happening for somereason. Also, make sure you double check your firewall as this is very common, but overlooked for blocking communication. It may have been as simple as our website having an error at the time you tried to download. Let us know if your still having this problem after trying these things.
