Grinding levels?

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I am around 66.5 and the guide wants me to grind around 400k by killing mobs. Is that normal?

Sometimes the guide will have a grind step to make sure you are at a specific level to be able to accept quests. You could try loading up the last few guides just to go thru them again and make sure you didn't miss anything that would give some extra xp.

The classic versions of the game do have more grinding built in to the game itself because that's how they designed it back then. They expected people to run dungeons in combination with leveling. Where we place the grind steps isn't an exact science since everyone's experience will be a little different so you can try to skip that step and see how much further you can go, but you will probably reach a point where you can't pick up anymore quests and will either need to grind or run dungeons to continue. We are investigating whether there are any other options we can give players but our current analysis is that it's the same issue that has always been there with classic, which is that a certain amount of grinding is unavoidable.
