Trying this as an L25 Druid

This should be amusing. I already wandered into Burning Steppes and died three times trying to make Morgan's Vigil…

If you put them into the Guides folder then they should be in game. Use the dropdown box on the guide viewer window and look for the 'Cabby's Custom Guides' menu and it will be in there.

    Guide no longer working?

I downloaded the FP guide and extracted it to the specified folder, and it put two files in it:

    guiide10.lua
    guide20.lua

but when I start the game and load the zygor guide interface, theres no fp guide included. Am I missing something?

Decided to remove the custom NPC file from the original post for now. Zygor is getting a lot of changes made and it's easier to not have to keep trying to update that every couple of days.

I know there's like maybe half dozen FPs on each side that you have to open the map for no matter what due to Blizzard having it named different from the sub-zone.

Just to say thanks for doing this Cabby - it's a very enjoyable tour of Azeroth which is a nice break from questing

I know this is not your fault at all but I had to open the flight path window (to get the guide to acknowledge the FP) a whole lot more with my Worgen than I did with my Goblin. Very odd.

I can say that cabby's right. The whole Horde side of the guide was done with my newly made for this testing run my DK. Did the whole guide as a level 58 DK. So using the ground mount only is completely possible.

Really no need to wait for them to be able to fly. The only place I saw a need for some caution with the ground mounts was in Eastern Plaguelands if they're below 65 for the travel step right near the beginning of the zone. Other than that the ground travel isn't too bad except for having to avoid the Alliance NPCs in a few EK zones, but that's not really that hard to do.

lol you probably did, i have a memory like a sieve
but yeah, overall, it's worked great I shall certainly be using it on my other chars (once they can fly anyhow) :P

That was probably an error in the SavedVariables file.

And I did put a disclaimer in the first post about trying to make it ground friendly and anyone flying should look a few steps ahead when they get to a travel step to see if they need to do it.

yup, i went and got it, it had the green exclamation mark over the guy's head and everything. It might be some kind of error in my saved variables or some conflict with another addon or something? it's the only one so far tho, and I'm half way through eastern kingdoms now.

The only other thing I've noticed is that somehow I didn't have skip travel steps checked automatically (I'm sure i used to) and it got a bit annoying trying to work out whether I actually did have to go somewhere. But that's more a suggestion to put at the start of the guide - check this or you might end up going somewhere without needing to.

Also, it's a little confusing when you're 85 and flying everywhere, because you're told to go through certain zones which is only if you're ground-bound. But easy enough to figure out

It's only taken me a little time to get through it as well, and will be a lifesaver for archaeology I think

Hmm, that's a bit odd because all of the known flight paths are stored in the guide's SavedVariables file and are put there when you open a flight window. Are you positive you didn't already have it?

I'm taking my 85 dk through this as she was leveled old-world and doesn't have any of the new ones. It's telling me I already got the Valormok flight path in Azshara when I don't. Not a problem, because i'm just gonna get it anyway, but I thought you should know. Great guide, so helpful
