    Cannot install guide

    Hi,
    I have tried installing the Zygor Client onto a new laptop, and have managed to get the launcher to appear- however, when I attempt to install the guides from the launcher, it says "downloading update" as the bar fills up.
    Then once the bar has finished, the following message appears:

    "Error: Error unpacking: Access to the path 'ZygorGuidesViewer' is denied."

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Try right clicking the Updater icon and select the 'Run as administrator' option to see if that makes any difference.

      Sorry for reviving an old thread but I also had this exact same error a couple of days ago after restoring my entire World of Warcraft folder from a backup onto a brand new Windows 8.1 Pro laptop.

      I came across the solution by accident, almost. I deleted the WoW "cache" folders and let the launcher rebuild everything - that appeared to set the correct permissions on the Addons folder and the Zygor Updater (and Curse) worked fine as a normal user after that.
