Try reinstalling Java and then restarting the computer.

Hello again, sorry for late reply.

      I have tried the following:

      1. Reinstall Java
      2. Reinstalled ZygorGuides

Try going to your Program Files (x86) folder and delete the Zygor Guides Client folder in there, then download a fresh copy of the client. Or is that what you mean when you say you reinstalled ZygorGuides?

Have you tried disabling any anti-virus software that might be messing with it running?

Hmm... have you tried running the installer client as an administrator?

I got it to work by switching it to Windos 98/Me and administrator setting. Wierd

Did you try it with only one display active?
I tried with two displays myself (NVidia graphics card) without problems but who knows, different drivers may cause different problems.

I have alerted our client programmer so he can look into this to see if maybe something specific in Win8.1 was the cause.

I have Windows 8.1 too and I suppose most Wndows 8.0 users upgraded to 8.1 so the problem should not be specific to this Windows version.

So from a little bit of reading around, I was able to gather that it might be an issue with Nvidia drivers on the Windows 8 platform. Some said they resolved their issues by overriding java.exe and/or javaw.exe (both of which are located in the bin folder of your Java installation) to use Integrated Graphics. Alternatively, I would just double check that your graphics drivers are up-to-date.

In the meantime, I'll see into anything on my end I can do to prevent this. Options may be grim, sadly.
