    unable to connect to zygor for updater

    im trying to connect to the autoupdater. getting error message "error connecting to zygor site - unable to obtain current version..

    Check to see if you have a firewall or security software running in the background that might be blocking the connection.

          The server is up without any problems for me. Try disabling any anti-virus you have and try again to see if that might be blocking the connection.

                Same problem here. The ZygorUpdater on my Mac quit working this morning. Under the "Your Account" section it says "Welcome (null)! It does show the Current version number, but not the Latest version.

                      That fixed it! Apple just rolled out an update for Mavericks (to 10.10.1), and they love to disable Java on every update. In my case after downloading/installing Java Version 8 (update 25) from Oracle, it took a couple reboots before the Updater began working properly again. Thanks.

                        We're battling an issue with older versions of the new Java client hammering the server with guide version checks, so they had to get the boot.

                        The VERY old clients don't hammer, so they're free to connect (again) - you can keep using the old client for now, if it works otherwise.

                        Note that the old "gray" updaters are no longer supported.
