Model Viewer

Any hope of making the Model Viewer stay where I put it. Even with version 10884, it still randomly tries to move back to it starting position.

Are you able to get it to change position whenever you want? Any steps that can be taken to try to duplicate this?

Yes, I can move it anywhere I want but it won't stay there.

This occurs upon every login and every time I have to reloadui. It wouldn't be such a pain but I have the guide viewer up against the left edge of the screen and the model viewer goes underneath the guide viewer and I have to unlock it an move it out of the way before I can unlock and move the model viewer again.

I just removed my ZygorGuidesViewer.lua file yesterday to see if it fixed it but no luck.

Just wanted to add, to help in debugging, I removed the entire Interface and WTF folder and just installed Zygor, same results.

Ok, I've managed to reproduce this. It appears to be linked to having the model viewer locked. You can move it to wherever you want but if you lock it in place then it jumps back on a reload. If you leave it unlocked it will remember it's position and stay there when you reload. So move it where you want and leave it unlocked for now and I will alert the team so they can get it fixed when it's locked.

Also, can you remind the Dev team that, when locked, the model viewer is supposed to follow the guide window when the guide window is dragged around?

Locked = stay relative to main Zygor window
Unlocked = stays where it was last put even when the Zygor window is moved

I'm pretty sure we normally have it just stay where you place it so you can move it independently from the viewer and vice versa.

That is changed behavior from the previous version(s). Once it was locked, the model viewer moved with the main window staying relative to it. This was incredibly handy if you needed to move it out of the way (for some other interface element) just temporarily.

I'll check with the dev team about this. I've never used the model viewer when playing as it's just one more window cluttering my screen that I don't need.

FYI, the latest "fix" for the model viewer staying put, doesn't work. It still resets upon login and reloadui. It just doesn't reset to default position now. Now it relocates to bottom right quadrant of the screen and shrinks by about 20%.
