the guide errors out the wow quest window so i cant click things from it for quests...i have to go into my bag and click them manually since you dont have the garrison mount quest guide in yet or something...it does this for all quest items though

I got this error as well. Further, I'm using ElvUI, which replaces the default quest tracker. Funny thing is that before that error fires, I cannot use ZGV's item click in the guide steps, while after one instance of the error, now I can use the item link in ZGV.

The entire time I can use ElvUI's quest tracker.

So I'm not saying the issue is with one or the other AddOns, only that it is interesting that once the error happens, ZGV works, even though it "fires" the error. Weird.

That's odd. I've never tried to use the regular quest tracker (even with ElvUI S&L) and the icon has always worked for me in the ZGV window.

Doing the stables daily quests this problem is a pain as I always needed to search my bags for the appropriate whistle.
And the Zygor guide is not the only addon causing this taint issue, I saw it in curse comments for at least two other addons (one is Master Plan).
So I decided to look around at curse for a solution and found this addon:

This is the most simple solution, replace the item icons at the tracker. It may have issues (there's something about accepting quests while in combat in the comments) but better than spending severyl minutes a day searching the bags for quest items.

I looked around if I could find out more about the taint issue.
On the wowace page of the addon "RaidBuffStatus" someone mentions "WorldMapFrame.blockWorldMapUpdate" causes the taint:

A search in all my addons showed that only the Zygor guide is using this in the ZygorGuidesViewer.lua, line 3919.
Maybe this can help the Zygor team hunting down the problem so at least the Zygor addon is not responsible for this anymore.

Sadly, line 3919 is commented out, from 3915 to 3933, so we're not tainting that particular variable.

Oh, seems I did not look careful enough at the code.
Anyway, with the mentioned quest item icon addon I currently have no problems, tracker looks normal and behaves normal. Why can't Blizzard change the tracker that way....
