Minimap tracking dots too big-

Is there a setting to make the minimap tracking dots smaller? They are so obtrusive it's hard to see treasure chests, rares etc.

The new white ones are hollow in the center to allow you to see what's under them. Right now the only option is to disable the markers in the settings, no option currently to adjust the size.

While the dots are now hollow when they overlap they're not and seeing things on the mini map is impossible, any changes planned to either revert to the old system, which worked fin in my humble opinion or disable on mini map only?

Yes a change is coming to address this. Routes will soon only be shown via the ant trail and only the destination will be marked with the circle marker.
