    Issues with Gear Advisor

    I keep running into weird issues with the gear advisor not recognizing or picking up the stats on my currently equipped gear. I've gone through and reset the item scoring to be the default for the Hunter -> Beast Mastery stats.

    When I went to grab items out of my bank it tried to suggest Hillman's Cloak (20 Armor w/ no stats) was a replacement over my Superior Cloak of the Falcon (20 Armor / +3 Agility / +3 Intellect) and stated the reason was that Hillman's Cloak had +1 Armor.

    Not sure what I can do have it read the current stats better, but I've also disabled all other addons and reloaded the game and it's still trying to suggest items like this as an Upgrade and I don't know why.

    When you get a pop up suggestion that you think is not correct please hold the Shift key and click on Decline. That will open a gear system bug report that you can then copy/paste into a forum post or send in to us via email (support@zygorguides.com) and that will let us get a better understanding of what the gear system is doing for that item.

        Blizzard does not always pass over the Equip and On Use effects which means the gear system may not be able to add the effects into the score. That is the case for this suggestion.

          What do you mean it doesn't pass it over? This must be the details you receive from WoW:

          Equip: Increases healing done by up to 88 and damage done by up to 30 for all magical spells and effects.

          I get that the format is a string, and therefore the interpretation requires more extensive data-extraction, but the data is there.

          When is this being fixed?

            I think what he meant was that items that have "random enchantment" don't tell us what the enchantment is on the code side of things (through the addon API), so just because you can see the enchantment in the tooltip doesn't mean the gear system can. It might be possible to precode some of these things if they are fixed, but it'll depend on how many items are like that. I'll bring this to the attention of the team and see what we can do.
