Gear Finder

So i already did the heroic dungeon the Gear Finder suggested me over and over again and got items with item level 242, yet the Gear Finder is telling me to do the same dungeon and that ill get item level 249 rewards. Am i missing something? The real issue is the Gear Finder will stay stuck with these rewards that im not seeing how to get

Other than the ilvl is the item you get the exact same name as what the gear finder says to get?

I've never been able to figure out that ilvl drop scaling that Blizzard added. It used to be so much simpler when an item had 1 set ilvl number and that was it. It could be your current average ilvl that affects it or maybe even the average ilvl of the group you are clearing the dungeon with. Try looking to see which item you have that has the lowest ilvl and go after the upgrade for that first to raise your average ilvl and then see if this dungeon gives you a different ilvl drop.

Might have a hint at what it is. Random heroic is 249 vs specific heroic 242. not sure but seems that way.
