Horde farming ore in Shadowmoon Valley Gold Guide

Is there a way to customize where we farm for ore? The shadowmoon valley path is extremely inefficient running through water and around mountains, etc. Can I customize what zone i can farm in, preferably one with less water to run through and around? I farmed for about 30 mins and got just over 20 of each ore (not stacks).

Sounds like someone else was farming the ore as well as you should have been able to find a lot more nodes than that.

There is nothing you can do on your end to change the zone the guide wants to direct you to.

He asked if he could change the zone that the guide was taking him to for farming the ore. The way the guides are setup it's not something that he can do and I let him know that. The only way he would be able to use the guides to farm the ore from a different zone would be for us to re-write the guides for a different zone.

Or simply use the profession guide that routes horde through frostfire ridge?
