Trapped in low-level quests in recommended zones

Heirloom gear seems to still give extra XP, or Zygor's leveling guides are messed up. I'm just following along, doing the recommended quest lines and I've been in low level quests for 3 zones now. It would be nice if there was a button to push that would allow you to skip up the recommended path to where the quests were no longer low level.

You need to use the Chromie Time guide once you hit level 10 to make sure you are in the correct time line so that the zones will scale all the way up to level 50. Once you are 50 you then use the Shadowlands Intro guide to continue leveling in the new zones.

The BofA pathways aren't any better. Stuck in outland on low level quests.

If you are in Outlands did you use the Chromie Time guide and select the Cataclysm time line to scale those zones to 50? With the new zone scaling there is no longer low level quests. They scale to your level if you are in the correct time line. If you did not select the Cataclysm time line then the only zones that will scale up to 50 for you are the BfA zones.

I must not have. I haven't played WoW in years, and just got back into it. I read the guide notes pretty carefully, so perhaps the directions need to be made more clear.
