My Hero Level outpacing the guides

Twice now I have experienced a case where my hero level has risen above and beyond the maximum level of monsters in a zone before completing that areas guide. It happened to me Stranglethorn Vale (I was Level 35 and nothing else above Level 30 and therefore 1 shotting them) and now in Shadowmoon Valley (Guide at 54%, Im Level 45, and it appears no enemies above Level 40 and 1 shotting them).

Is this happening to anyone else????

You need to use the Chromie Time guide first to get the proper time line set so that the zones will scale with your level.

Actually interesting question, if not on a chromie timeline, a given zone for ex Darshore goes from 5 to 30 but in a Chromie timeline it goes from 5 to 60, so all the classic leveling guides are designed for a player to be in the chromie timeline (any actually)? As a matter of fact all the Classic guides go from 1 to 60
So if one does not go to one of the chromie timeline there is no guide for that? Correct? Thanks!

Correct. Since the quests do not change at all the guides are designed around making use of the Chromie time lines and the zone scaling. You can follow the zone guides without being in the Chromie time line but we do not tell you when you need to go to a higher level zone.
