Guide skipping quests

I started my leveling process last night in Hellfire peninsula and the guide skipped several steps in the list of quests built into the guide. For instance, it skipped right over getting the quest Return to Thrallmar. It also skipped over the quest to pick the cabbage looking quest. By skipping, I mean it never told me to go speak to the npc, even though they are clearly written into the guide.

We will check into this. Please let us know any quest names that were skipped to help us find and fix them faster.

Happened to me too, Report it by clicking the little flag icon on the step in the guide. That's what i did, happens a few times in zangarmarsh too, where you either need one more lvl to pick up a certain quest the guide tells you to, and one that you need neutral sporeggar reputation to be able to pick up. I reported all of them with the flag icon in the guide.

We believe this was the result of the Smart Injection System using quest chain data when parsing through steps. The quest chain data is useful for injection into a guide because it will backtrack you through any pre-quests you need to do first, but it seems like it was causing errors for players already synced with the guides. We pushed an update yesterday that turns this off during normal guide use which should solve the issue.

Not only is this happening, the guides dont seem to be matching up? ive done 100% of every step without groups or rested xp + 5 dungeons and yet im still struggling to get anywhere near the level required for the next zones. Any idea what the go is?

It should no longer be skipping quests. Try loading up the Hellfire guide again at step 1 and see if it finds any new quests to do that it might have previously skipped.

Seeing the same thing. I'm supposed to be picking up quests that require you to be 65, but am barely halfway through 64. Also quests that require rep you cant pick up unless you go back and farm the rep.

I found the issue while questing in Nagrand today. They've blatantly ripped their guide from retail guide with no oversight as to any changes. The guide wants 10 Cores for this quest however the actual quest in TBC needed 15. See the links below.

I had the same issue as the guy above ^ Almost every zone has like 5+ quests that have this issue, of the guide saying it wrong or a chain quest that the guide just messes up in. Also tells you to pick up quests that arent really there or require a higher level and the guide doesnt tell you to grind mobs or do a couple dungeons to compensate for the level needed. Really dissapointed and i am sad to say that I have cancelled my subscription for this month. I am only level 64 and I've encountered so many quest problems that required me to stall my leveling time due to the fact that i have to report these quests and look them up to see "what I did wrong".... When in fact its the guides fault for messing up It really discourages me to use the guide any further while leveling.

This! …. all of this happen to me!...now I'm stuck at level 64 in Nagrand killing random mobs to level.

Skipping quests? Dude, Zygor completely skipped Westfall.

Westfall is not part of our normal leveling route. There is a standalone guide for Westfall in the Extra Zones section.
