Hello
I was in the Zul'Drak area and needed to visit an Auctioneer. When I went to the "find NPC" feature, I was directed to Dalaran and the the port to Undercity. When I arrived in UC I was promptly attacked by a dozen UC gurads etc. I was somehow buffed with Warchiefs Blessing and invulnerable, there was a battle raging and there was no way out.
I had NO idea what was happening and stuck in UC with no way out, so I used my Hearthstone to where I was in Northrend. I then proceeded to find a way to the Zeppelin to Undercity, and there was Thrall and a war party along with a couple of players waiting to attack the city. I asked a player what heck was happening and he said I was on a quest chain somehow.
Apparently when you accept the "Darkness Falls" quest instructed by guide (I don't remember where bit it had something to do with Saurfang), you are phased out of UC and Orgrimmar with no NPC'S etc in Org, and no way in to UC unless you "accidentally" (or are instructed) to take a Dalaran port there.
I wound up going to Silvermoon to do my business....unfortunately I had no idea about any of this until I did the Wowhead/Google/ ask players etc to find out what was happening. I thought game was bugged....
Perhaps you should either avoid starting this quest chain or have a big warning that these 2 cities will be unavailable. I'm not sure if this quest chain is joined up many guides later or what. In the meantime I cannot go to the 2 main Horde cities.
There is a NPC that Blizz has placed outside of UC where you can cancel the full quest chain (took a while to find this out also). Should I cancel this quest chain (4 parts I believe) of continue with guides as you have it as part of leveling guides?
