If I understand you correctly, as in, the guide will lead the way... the guide is WRONG and here is why
Where you tell everyone to go to solve this quest, takes so much longer, you have to SWIM all over the place, and is a HUGE PITA to complete there.
I propose you get them while there, for several reasons
1) never need to swim
2) there are 4x as many mobs
3) all you have to do is walk from one end to the beach to the other and back again and you are done, turn it in, done.
