Profile suddenly gone-again

Hi-this is the second time I fire up game and my WOTLK Profile for Zygor is missing and I have to reset all settings, and find where I left off in what leveling guide. This happened last week also. There has been no update (unfortunately) and nothing has changed from yesterday, so I'm not sure what broke.

Also-is TomTom included with the install of Zygor, or is it needed for Zygor guide to work? I'm not sure why I have it installed.

The frustrating thing is I leveled a Horde Hunter to 80 using these guides a few weeks ago with very few glitches, and now it seems like there are constant problems. This last update broke things (Like waypoints and Item Score etc) and I'm wondering why you don't just push last stable version and figure out the rest after the Holidays.

While I appreciate the Support person acknowledging the fixes coming, it sure would be nice to have them. Don't need new "throw away trash" feature and other "improvements", I like the old reminders to sell and repair etc. Sometimes if it ain't broke don't try to "fix" it. I prepaid for a year based on the stability of this addon and it seemed the quick responses to problems, but it seems like this may have been a hasty decision on my part right now.

Is there a repository where we can find and install previous versions of the addon?

I do not know what happened with your profile. No one else has reported an issue like this so I can only assume it's some really odd addon conflict or something else that's specific to your game install.

We can use TomTom but it is not required and not something we distribute. The only addon we distribute is our guide viewer.

There is no archives of the guides for downloading previous versions.

What Zygor Files should I back up just in case?

The profile is stored in the wow/classic/wtf/account/<your accountname>/savedvariables folder. That zygorguidesviewerclassictbc.lua file in there is all of the in game guide viewer settings.

My profile continues to reset to default EVERY time I update with the Zygor updater, so I have had to remember all settings AND which leveling guide I was on and step etc.

I have taken to storing a backup of the LUA whenever I exit the game, it's a hassle I never had before you guys did your December 15th-16th "updates".

No other addon has this happening. Why is the updater doing this, even when there is no update? I have now started just checking your Changelog page instead of using the updater to be prepared for this, instead of just running the updater every day.

We haven't changed anything that should be causing this and you are the only person to report this kind of problem. The only thing I can think of would maybe be the syncing in the desktop app. When you go into the desktop app settings and look in the Downloads section what option do you have selected for the Sync Updates at the bottom?

Automatically Sync in game setting when I close WoW

Try setting it to manual. Then it will only touch that settings file if you yourself click on the Sync at the top of the desktop app. Unless you are playing on multiple computers it's not really something you need to use.
