Slow leveling?

I'm using the guide 100% - but it seems to me the leveling is rather slow. I've used 4d5h to reach level 47 on a hunter (ezmode). Back in Vanilla I leveled my priest in 4d flat to 60.

Now - it may be something is different in Classic vs Vanilla, but there sure seems to be a LOT of traveling in the current guide which takes a lot of time.

What's everyone elses experience?

I experienced the same thing following the guide step by step. I often found myself skipping zones and many lvls up to find suitable exp which I and my gear could comfortably handle.

The world record from 1-60 in vanilla was joana, at 4d and 20 hours. You are saying you beat the world record in vanilla by 20 hours?

In that case, I must remember it wrong. I just don't remember it being as slow as this - the traveling is killing the speed.

Edit: You know - I think what affected it was probably the amount of rested bonus. It was an alt, so I'm guessing I had a lot more rested than now.
