Tomes of Lore

The walk-through tells you to go and get the diaries/tomes of lore, etc that are only available during while on certain quests.

Do the diaries/tomes provide any incentive besides lore, such as experience?

Not everything is about leveling up your character, but it seems that there are other ways to gain xp in this game than killing monsters. I was wondering if this was one of them.

I don't think they give any XP. When in beta there were no XP numbers floating around to see exactly when you did and didn't gain XP so it's hard to tell if these gave any kind of XP.

Actually, they do give experience, though negligible. I want to say it was 125 exp for each lore item you found. I think the main appeal of the lore objects is to immerse you deep into the story, which is awesome! :-)

I agree, it is awesome.

I just wanted confirmation so I can spread the word about alternative ways to gain xp AND find out about the awesomeness of the story.
