    Blizzard vs Zygor Acheivements-

I'm confused on this Zygor guide. I'm trying to gain the Blizzard Achievement, but the two don't seem to be working with each other. Rather than posted a long explanation, I'm posting a couple of annotated images which will hopefully explain things better.

Maybe you can clarify why the Zygor Guide won't allow me to do the quest(s) that Blizzard shows as 'not having been done' yet, with this character of mine. It looks like I completed all the required dailies with another of my characters a long time ago. But, Zygor doesn't mention whether it's per-account or per-character as an Achievement?
I don't know how to get the Blizzard Achievement. Maybe you can clarify this for me?

That is a fishing daily quest. Each day you can get 1 of those 5 possible quests. If you've done one of them already today (most likely due to all 5 shown as green and completed) then you can't do another one until tomorrow. To get the achievement you will need to re-load that guide every day for a minimum of 5 days. Since the quest you get each day is random you will most likely get duplicate quests which will make it take longer than 5 days. I believe on average it will take 6-9 days to finally get each of those 5 quests if you do that fishing daily each day. Also, there are similar quests for fishing in Stormwind and Ironforge that are Fish and Cut Bait achievements. These are all mutually exclusive so if you do the fishing daily in Darnasus then you will not be able to do a fishing daily in Stormwind or Ironforge. This means to do all 3 of these achievements it will take (roughly) 3 weeks, 1 week for each achievement.

Thank you for the explanation. I guess I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens.

One thing still confuses me, though. If you take a look at the "Image 1" screen shot (in my original post) at the Blizzard Achievement again, it doesn't mention any of the achievements (image below) which I completed today? Yes... fishing was involved, but the quest names and/or the achievements don't match. So, it appears to me as though I should be able to do the one in Darnassus (since I haven't done any of those quests in Darnassus yet today). It won't let me do any of them! Sorry if I'm missing your point.

I completed the following ones today:

      Fishing dailies I did today.jpg

If one of the above is causing me from doing any of the Darnassus quests, which one is it?

None of those achievements would keep you from doing the daily but I think you missed the point I was trying to make with the last few sentences in my previous post.

Did you do a fishing daily in either Stormwind or Ironforge? If the answer is yes then you can't do a fishing daily in any other city. So (for example) if you do the fishing daily in Stormwind today then that means you can't do the fishing daily in Ironforge or Darnassus. All of the quests required for the 3 Fish or Cut Bait achievements are daily quests and you can only do one per day and only in one city.

But you can still do the Shattrath and Dalaran fishing daily, those are separate from the old capital city fishing quests.
In Shattrath and Dalaran you also have a random quest out of 5, so in order to do them all you need a few days for that too.

Is that per-toon, per-realm, or does your comment still hold true per-account?

I guess I was wrong to think that fishing/cooking dailes, etc. could be done as long as they were in different cities, zones, etc. and as long as the quest-items (objectives) were different from one another between the daily quests. And, I thought they could be done with each individual character. If they can't be, then these dailies must be account-wide (without anybody ever stating that they were).

The more I learn, the more frustrated I get at Blizzard. It seems they just want to drag things out for insanely long periods of time merely to keep us paying the monthly bill.

BTW.... This morning I logged on, went to the lady in Darnassus, and she gave me the 'clam' quest. I completed it. That solves that mystery! LOL

            Thank you again for replying.

I never really checked but I think the fishing dailies are linked to the toons and not the accounts. The easy test is if you have a 2nd toon that has high fishing have one try the Darnassus daily (like you got done today) and have the 2nd one try to get the Stormwind daily. If each toon can get a fishing daily in the different cities then that means you could work all 3 of the Fish or Cut Bait achievements at the same time with 3 different toons. On the other hand, I'm not sure if these achievements are account-wide so each toon might need to do each of the 3 achievements.

And yes, Blizzard has a lot of time-sink things in the game to give you something to do once you hit max level so you'll keep paying the monthly fee. But this is something almost every MMO does these days that are a subscription MMO like WoW.

I'm pretty sure you can do the fishing and cooking quests with different characters. But for the achievement you need to have done all quests with a single character. The achievement itself is then account wide:
                fishsws5qcz.png
(this character only did one fishing quest in SW while I did all of them on another character)

One other thing, if you are working on the Loremaster you don't need to complete all zones with a single character. The zone achievements are acccount wide too. So if you already have some zones completed on various characters you only need to do the missing zones.

                  Bug in guide

It's a new day. I went to Astaia and she gave me one of the random quests to do. The one she gave was "An Old Favorite." I accepted it and immediate the Zygor guide went to the 'turn-in' screen (for Step 9, "Happy as a Clam" quest!), but it failed to guide me to working on the proper step to complete the one I chose. This just shouldn't happen.

If you hold Ctrl + Alt and step back one step what do you see there?

I think you're missing the point. I know how to do that; I've already completed the quest for today. I'm just letting you know that the guide isn't working properly. It bypassed step 8 and went straight to step 9.
Apparently, nobody has checked it after all this time - except for me, today.

You missed the point again. I didn't ask because that should show you the step, I asked because I wanted to know if that step showed up at all for you. I was trying to figure out why it wasn't showing for you when it should have been showing. Sometimes you have to stop assuming you know what is meant by a question because you're normally wrong in your assumptions.

Step 8. It comes before Step 9.
