Gorgrond Problem, not sure if bug or intended

I'm questing in Gorgrond, and I'm on step 197. The "Guide Progress Bar" says I'm only 59% through the zone, and steps completed are only at 113/192.

I finished step 197, turned in "It's a Matter of Strategy" and the guide will not advance to the next step. It generates a message in my chat window that says "Already generated".

Now, on the side, I leveled to the point where the Talador guide popped up and asked me if I wanted to change guides, but I don't want to change if this zone isn't complete yet. (I'm not racing to 100, just doing all the quests...)

Is the bug that the guide won't advance or is the bug that the progress meter is wrong?

BTW: I am on latest version, 5.0.11149 as of 5 minutes ago.

Double check the version number when you're in game on the guide selection window. It should not be suggesting to move to the next zone as we have that disabled. Maybe try using the wrench icon on the installer client to reinstall the guides to make sure all files have been updated properly. I'm thinking this might be why it's not advancing.

Already did a complete download/re-install, it had no effect. Today when I logged in, it popped a window telling me to advance to Talador again, I pushed "Decline". Confirmed version in Addons/Settings Main page is 5.0.11149. Still, when I try to arrow to the next step in the Gorgrond Guide, a message appears in my chat window saying "Already generated" every time I push the arrow for next step, the guide will not advance.

I manually went into Interface/Addons in my WoW folder and deleted the Zygor folder, did a complete download/re-install again, proper version confirmed. Still have the exact same issue.

Are there any cached files I can manually delete? This is driving me nuts.

Something sounds like it isn't right with your installation as it shouldn't be giving any problems and you're the only one reporting this kind of a problem right now. Can you post a screen shot of your guide viewer window in game? Have you tried with all other addons disabled?

I disabled every addon except Zygor, same issue. Screenshot attached. I think, the upload thing is flaky.

Also, I don't know if this matters or not, but I saw some other bugs relating to this that have since been fixed, but I did start the first few quests in Talador where you have to choose between the two outpost buildings, and I did choose a building. I don't know if that sets some sort of "marker" or anything that this might conflict with, but just thought I'd throw it out there in case its a crossover or continuation of a different bug.

Well the guide is on the last step of the Gorgrond guide so check the notifications (small box top center of your screen). It can't advance to the next step because there is no next step in that guide.

I just came through that part of the Horde guide (steps 197, etc.) and had no problem. After turning in "It's a Matter of Strategy", Zygor popped up and said "You've reached the end of the current guide" and to select Talador. For me, it worked just fine.

Well, back to my original submission then, the guide progress meter (step 113/192 @ 59% complete) might be the problem then. I mean, every single thing this addon was telling me was that I was NOT at the end of the guide, so you can at least understand my point of view here.

Can you select the Talador Guide? If so, select it and see if you can progress.

Yeah, I can, I mentioned that already, but that isn't the point.

If its the end of the Gorgrond guide, super, I'll keep progressing, but from what the guide itself is telling me, I was only 113/192 @ 59% and that is still a bug. This bug isn't stopping me from continuing, but still a bug none the less.

Unless the guide still counts bonus objectives in the Gorgrond zone as incomplete, even though there aren't "steps" for them. OR, do the bonus objective steps only come up once you have entered the bonus objective zone and acquired said bonus objectives? That might explain it I suppose. I have not completed ALL of the bonus objectives in Gorgrond.

If that is the case, maybe that should be made more clear?

Can you read my earlier responses? I already said YES.

The fact that I can select the Talador guide doesn't change the fact that the Gorgrond guide says 113/192 Steps completed @ 59% completed when I'm supposedly at the END of the guide. So stop suggesting your totally irrelevant solution. You are clearly missing the point here.

EDIT: Or just delete your irrelevant suggestion, I suppose that works too.

That step progress bar will never be completely full. Not every step in the guide is counted toward the progress bar. It's a bit of an odd system. It will only count steps that have a quest ID # in them and not every step will have a quest associated with it (i.e. set this inn as your hearthstone). I would say to look at the progress bar only as a rough estimate and not worry if it doesn't fill up completely when it's set to steps.

Another problem with the progress bar is caused by the different quest paths depending on the outpost building.
Especially the Alliance Gorgrond guide differs much so there are rather big portions you won't be able to do.
However the guide seems to simply count steps and quests throughout the whole guide file and cannot differ which part a step belongs to.
The only way to achieve this would be to put an "if" condition into every step exclusive to one path.
