Guide Empty

Hello there i have tried all the suggestions on this thread after starting with a blank in-game viewer. After i did so i got some of the things to come on the viewer. As I have done in the past when my leveling guide was reset i hit suggest to get the right guide for my current level but when I do it suggests me to go level my professions. So I manually navigate to the leveling section and click classic then eastern kingdom. ( alliance) I am level 30 Druid. There are a few zones to choose from but not all were there more importantly the zone I am currently in Arathi Highlands was not there nor was there a level appropriate for me to go to either it was way too low to be of use or it was way to high to even get quests for. I trying to just accept a quest to maybe trigger the zone to come up automatically just in case but all that happens is as soon as I click on the quest giver it automatically accepts all quests I have just upgraded my guides to include up to level 100 for both alliance/Horde from level 90 Alliance/Horde. all versions in question are up to date Zygor guide and Wow. As I log in to my game i do get a notification that my guide needs to be updated but every time I look on the client interface i am updated already.

It sounds like you have the free trial guides installed. Try using the wrench icon on the desktop client to do a reinstall of the guides.

no guide in Iron forge, LUA errors, cannot use in this area

I am also having an issue where the guide is empty and a LUA error that displays and seems to be counting many errors. I have other characters in other areas that seem to have zygor guides working fine, this particular character happens to be at Iron Forge, where it is not working at all. i am using the latest guide. I have tried reinstalling/uninstalling and reinstalling.

also while zygor guides was loaded and giving errors i could do nothing until i disabled it.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game and see if that fixed it

Also, I have noticed sometimes my guide shows up empty, a quick reload of the UI for some strange odd reasons tends to fix it for me or sometimes simply closing it out & reopening it.
