Herbalism quest Felwort Analysis

This quest is not completable on boosted or Demon Hunter characters until you do the Warlords of Draenor invasion quests, starting with Assault on the Dark Portal given by Khadgar. I'm playing on Alliance, and hopefully Khadgar is the questgiver for Horde, but I am not sure.

This is because some of the characters have no Garrison Hearthstone. You can ask a Mage to port you.

I would imagine that since there is a Horde side portal to go from Org to Frostfire there should be an Alliance side equivalent portal to go from SW to Shadowmoon Valley. That means no need to do the intro stuff for WoD to get a Garrison Hearthstone.

I checked the Alliance side. In Stormwind Keep in the room to the right of the throne room is a portal.
Though it's marked as portal to Ashran apparently for a character that was not in Draenor it is a portal to the shore where you land after doing the Draenor introduction.

If you have flying in Draenor unlocked you can directly fly anywhere. Otherwise you can also do the few quests to build the garrison.

I didn't complete the flying in Draenor, but I'm going to check out your suggestion. Then the ride to Gorgorond!

If you got someone who has the Sandstone Drake two seater flying mount and the ability to fly in Draenor you can save some time

I finally got around to doing this quest end bit today, and thanks to Cartman's and Zygor's tips, I got my Garrison Hearthstone in about 10 minutes, and the other quest about 15 minutes' travel time later.

Thank you for letting me know about the Shadowmoon Valley portal. I don't know where it is in Orgrimmar, but specifically in Stormwind for those wanting to know, enter the castle and go all the way to King Anduinn, then head right into the side room.

You will be ported to the shores to talk to Prophet Valen, and do the half dozen quests to get your Garrison. Arguably, unless you want to continue the quests, you can stop as soon as you get the Garrison Hearthstone.
