What is AMT and STATUS referring to? And how to make $$$?

Probably humiliated by how simple it is...
Also, how do you really make the dolla dolla bills yall? Does going to the auction tab, and buying the thing with the big profit %s then selling it work? Or get max lvl with a profession and make whatevers at the top of the list, on the crafting tab???
Guide me to using the guide?!

EDIT* Ok i realised AMT is amount, im guessing i buy this amount then sell when it goes back up in price? is there a way to save the item to watch its price daily?

Keep in mind that some of the interface stuff in the manual is a little old. For example there is no longer a Gold Runs section and the auction tools are now tabs on the AH window instead of an extra window attached to the side of the AH window.
