Hmm... I've always had a guide loaded when I've done the testing and not getting the errors. I'll have some others in the office try to get the error as well.

There might be something with HBD but it really sounds like you're having some other addon conflicting issues. Try this for a test.

          1. Exit the game
          2. Go to your WoW/Cache folder and delete everything in there
          3. Go to your WoW folder and rename the Interface and WTF folders to Interface.Old and WTF.Old
          4. Run the Zygor desktop client, click the refresh button in the top right, and then click on the Install button
          5. Go in game to test

This will essentially remove every single addon (without deleting them), reset your game, and install a fresh copy of Zygor. When you log in the only addon the game will 'see' as being installed is Zygor and this is the closest you can get to a 'clean' install without actually doing a brand new game install. When in this configuration with Zygor being the only guide installed are you still seeing these errors?

Managed to find a way to trigger that error on my end:

              - Set the guide for Suramar for example
              - Go to Dreadscar rift

              Error occurs

              - reloadui
              - go back to Dalaran

              Error occurs

I have learned that there are two copies of HBD installed on my system. One by HandyNotes, GatherMate2, TomTom, etc, and one by Zygor. They look like two different versions, the former is HereBeDragons-1.0 and the latter by Zygor is HereBeDragons-ZGV (or HereBeDragons-1.0-ZGV, can't remember exactly).

The trouble is that in the ZygorGuideViewer AddOn, in the Libs folder, the former exists, but the code is looking for the latter.

I'm not sure why the modification to HBD is required by Zygor, when the original works perfectly fine. As we are learning, modifiying non-Zygor libs, even changing the major version name, is causing trouble.

Perhaps someone smarter than myself can explain this.

I've linked this thread to one of our devs so he can look at it. I believe we have slightly modified the HBD library and that is why the subtle change to things but maybe something was forgotten in that change.

I think I might have stumbled upon a fix for the HBD error. Go into the Travel System section of the guide viewer settings and in the advanced section set the ant density to Off. This will disable the ant trail and I believe that will stop the errors until we're able to look that code over more.

The right click error should be fixed now. Please make sure to update the guides.

We're looking into it more to see what we missed with the right click fix.

I am also having the HereBeDragons error. But for me, right upon logging in (in broken isles), I have 700+ HBD errors showing up. It's seriously impacting my ability to play. I pay for Zygor Guides so I expect it to work.

I'm a programmer also. You *cannot* modify a 3rd party library without making for DAMN sure your code will never try to reference the original version, and that *other* code will not load yours (you have to change the library metadata sufficiently so *most* other addons will not reference yours by error).

In fact, I've never "modified" a 3rd party library. If it's open source, I'll create a new library, with a very different name/etc, import and change the code (making sure to preserve comments crediting the original authors). This is just as nasty as (sorry to the non-technical crowd) the mistake of trying to use the GAC in the .NET world...nothing but pain.

For now, I've deleted the HereBeDragons subfolder in Zygor. We'll see how that goes...I rely on HandyNotes and others and if they're using the original, unmodified HBD library, that's the one I'm inclined to keep.
