Zygor Legion Guides Hangs Up My Garrison (Load Screen)

Hi:

If I am in a Legion Zone (say like Suramar, High Mountain, Stormheim etc.) and I have Zygor Draneor Guides loaded, I can hearth to my Garrison without any problem.

Likewise, if I am in a Legion Zone and I disable Zygor Guides altogether (through the Addon interface) regardless as to whether or not I had been using the Draneor Guide or Legion Guide... I am still able to hearth to my Garrison without any problem.

But if I am in a Legion Zone and have a Zygor Legion Guide loaded and I hearth to my Garrison, it hangs up at the Garrison Load Screen EVERY TIME (I hearthed to my Garrison several times using the above mentioned ways several times and always got the same results).

When the load screen hangs I have to end the game via my task manager (ctrl, alt, delete) and re-log into the game at which time I will be in my Garrison. I found a work around (though not especially convenient) which is to disable Zygor Guides through the addon interface, reload the UI, hearth to my Garrison (it won't hang up with Zygor Guides disabled) and once I arrive at my Garrison re-enable my Zygor Guides through the addon interface, reload the UI.... and be on my merry way.

Just wanted to inform you folks at Zygor about the issue.

Haven't had any other lock up reports like that. Have you tested with all other addons disabled?

Hi:

Ran Legion Zygor Guides in Suramar, and while in Meredil (Shal'Aran) I attempted to hearth to my Garrison. Still was locked on my load in screen after I hearthed. Had to exit game using my task manager and log back in in order to get into my Garrison. Zygor Guides was the ONLY addon that I had running when I made the attempt. Every other addon that I use was disabled prior to logging into the game. Zygor Guides was run exclusively.

Try going into the guide viewer settings and in the Travel System section use the advanced options to disable the ant trail and see if that helps at all.

Hi:

I don't use the travel system or notification center, and have both disabled. Just in case I went into the travel systems advanced options and turned off ant trails before I disabled the travel system altogether (the travel system was already disabled, but I turned off the ant trails just in case.

Still no luck. Zygor Legion Guides still lock-up my Garrison load screen.

Hmm, lets do some testing to see if there are any corrupted files anywhere. Try this for a test.

1. Exit the game
2. Go to your WoW/Cache folder and delete everything in there
3. Go to your WoW folder and rename the Interface and WTF folders to Interface.Old and WTF.Old
4. Run the Zygor desktop client, click the refresh button in the top right, and then click on the Install button
5. Go in game to test and then let me know if that fixed it

Renaming the folders will give you a 'clean' game install but also allow you to put all of your addons and settings back in place easily if it has no effect on the problem.

FYI, people who don't have Zygor, let alone any other AddOns, are reporting either ridiculously long loading screens, or hang ups, or even crashes right out of the game.

I don't think this is a Zygor issue.

Hi:

I did what you said to do and that cleared up the problem. But I restored my original cache (WTF) file, removed Zygor Guides from may addons folder, removed the Zygor lua files from my saved variables folder, and then downloaded a new copy of Zygor Guides from your website, and tried my Garrison hearth again. This time I got to my Garrison without any problem.

Thanks for your help. Wouldn't have figured it out without you.

PS. I'm going to try to hearth to my Garrison again, but this time I'll try it with the travel system engaged. Hopefully there won't be any problem but if there is... you'll be hearing from me again.
