zygor client won't update guides.

    zygor client won't update guides.

    so, it's been happening at random now and there, where i start up the zygor client, see an update for Zygor or AH data, click update, and it tries to download the AH data and nothing, still says there is AH data to download, or when i try to update the guides themselves it'll try to download and seem to work, but then says there is a new update for the guides, other times it'll download one or the other, but never bother, to get the guides to update this time i had to full uninstall the guides then redownload them... kinda irritating tbh.

    also, doesn't give any errors, i tried setting it to run as admin as well and that doesn't work, i don't have a firewall except on my router and most ports i expect zygor would use are open anyway for other games i play, so yeah, not really sure the problem.

    Currently we have the AH data being throttled to stabilize our server. This will cause the client to not always be able to get the AH data. We are working to get this resolved as quickly as we can to remove the throttling. If you try the new (beta) client in the members area you will probably have a much better experience with getting the guide files updated separate from the AH data so that the throttling doesn't try to affect the guide updates.

        I am having a similar problem. I am using the beta updater. It updates the AH and keeps it current, but it has not updated the guide in a week now. It just shows an update being available and cancel where the update button would be like it is in the process of downloading update but it never does.

          Try restarting the client.

            Having the same problem

            I have been having a similar problem to the ones listed above. I have the Mac Beta client 0.1.25b. The client has been updating the Auction Data for the last several weeks but has not updated the main guides since version 7.0.19081. When you hover over the UPDATE button it says "You must /reload in-game after applying this update". When you click the update button it just says applying update and then never does. Please advise... This is getting frustrating. Additionally I HAVE restarted the client, rebooted the machine, and do not have any issue on my PC that also uses the Beta client..

              Hmm, any anti-virus or VPN usage? Have you tried logging out and back in to the client?

                NO VPN or Antivirus involved and I have logged out and logged back into the client... Auction data updates fine... The main guides do not. I'm going to try and deleting the guides manually... and see of that solves it.

                  No luck... a complete uninstall did not work. Still trying to figure this out... Any suggestions???

                    I'll look into this. If it's telling you to /reload, and it's not picking up on a reload or game restart, it likely isn't tracking the process properly on OS X.

                      That sounds probable... Something got out of sync somewhere. I think I need to delete wherever the status and account information is kept for this application. When I deleted the app, rebooted and reinstalled it still had my account information, logged me in automatically and the current state of the game still needed a reboot. This information has to be stored somewhere so I am thinking if I can manually delete the file it could fix the problem.

                      Any suggestion on how to clear it all out??

                        On a Mac it should be in /Library/Application Support/Zygor folder. You can delete just the settings file in there or just wipe that folder for the same effect.

                          That fixed it. Deleting the entire directory and restarting the app seems to have cleared to out of sync problem.

                          For all Mac users... The folder is actually ~Library/Application Support/Zygor . Note the tilde instead of the backslash.
