You have not learned Herbalism

I'm trying to use the gold guide and went to gathering, and clicked on herbalism, which is my gathering profession, but it tells me I have not learned herbalism, and that my learned profession is (insert blank here).
How do I fix this?
I am using ELVUI if this makes any difference.

Try disabling all other addons and then open professions window when only Zygor is running.

I opened the professions tab, and then clicked herbalism and that worked
