7.0.19368 taking more flights than using BfA Hearth to Boralus [Alliance]

I have my hearth set to the inn at Boralus. When switching continents, say from Kul'Tiras to Zandalar, the travel system seems to want me to fly back to Boralus (if in Kul'Tiras) then take the boat over to a Zandalar port instead of using Hearth. Same happens in Zandalar. If I select a WQ in Kul'Tiras, I am finding myself flying to a port to take me back to Boralus instead of the Travel System having me just Hearth.

I have not tested this on Horde, only Alliance. Minor inconvenience. Just wanted to report.

What settings do you have enabled in the navigation section of the guide viewer settings?

I have all of them enabled for quite some time now. Honestly, not sure I have changed them in a long time. It just seems like it is preferring flight paths "more" than before. I know I have 'Prefer flight paths' selected, but it used to still have me use my hearth when on different continent in BfA. Maybe now it is working as intended?

I am not complaining about it. I just found that it was different than what I was used to.

Can you try to disable that option to prefer flight paths to see if that gets it to recommend the hearthstone more like expected?

Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you, but I noticed another strange behavior that I feel may be centered around this as well. I was on my horde player, in Stormsong on Kul'Tiras. I finished my emissary quests, and I should have hearthed back to The Great Seal in Zuldazar (that is where my hearth is set), but instead of directed me to hearth to my Garrison. My hearth was NOT on cooldown.

I will try disabling flight path preference next login. I feel as though, whatever changes were made to the travel system over the last few updates, they made it about 95% accurate instead of 100%. Minor issues.

Almost sounds like it doesn't know where your hearth is set. Have you tested with all other addons disabled to see if there might be something that has started to mess with things?

Yeah, I have tried with other addons disabled as well. Lately, I have been noticing with the Flight Whistle too. I am getting more "run to such and such" place instead of just using the Flight Whistle because it is off of cooldown. It seem as though the travel pathing is optimized when you are at a flight master but not when you are 200 or so yards from one.

You could run the command: /zygor debug and see what gets printed in chat when you plot a new route using the Travel system. It should show, among many others, a line saying where your Hearthstone is detected - or "no idea" when there's a problem. It'd be a start towards diagnosing why it's not using it as often as you'd like.
