Faction transfer of a 120

Last night I did a Faction transfer of a character who was 120. I am planning to run through the war campaign now as alliance and can not find a starting point in the guides, any help is appreciated. I have unlocked the new orc race and want to do the same to the Dark Iron dwarves.

The guides will still see your character as the old faction so will try to show you guides for that faction. Try going into the guide viewer settings and in the profile section delete or reset the profile for that character, then log out and in again. That should hopefully fix it but I'm not positive if it will since you are resetting it while logged in. If that does not work, exit the game and go to your WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder, and delete the Zygor files in there. That will do a full wipe of the guide viewer settings and allow it to show the proper guides.

What exactly are you not able to do? If it's also the War Campaign had you done it before the faction change?

I have a related issue. I did NOT change faction and have been playing Alliance only for weeks but yesterday the guide suddenly started giving me the Horde questgivers. Doing the above did not work.. neither the in-game reset nor the exiting and deleting of files. Do you have any other suggestions? Is there a place that Zygor goes to look for faction that can be edited/deleted/reset ??

Edit: came out of a Raid shortly after the above and it was reset. <Happy Camper>
