The guide is sending me to a quest giver in the temple but the quest is not showing as available. I'm sure this quest is a pop up quest but I'm not sure where I need to go to trigger the pop up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the Defend the Temple is one of those bonus quests that will put a progress bar under the mini map when you're in the area. If you are 110+ it probably won't show up at all.
