Notification centre

Currently when a new popup appears in the notification centre, it pops out to show me... Instead of doing that, I was wondering if it was possible to have the little tab that shows when the notification centre is collapsed glow or change colours or something?

If memory serves me correctly it will show a number on that tab to indicate number of unread notifications.

It doesn't. All it does is pop out when a new dialog is sent to it.

What I want is instead of doing that, I just want some kind of indicator on the tab. Even that number thing you mentioned would be better, IMO, than it popping out like this.
