Points of Interest problem

I have a problem I can't seem to fix. I've reinstalled the guide with no other addons and have deleted the saved variables in the interface and wtf folders and still have this problem.
Whenever I mouse over a rare spawn or treasure Point of Interest, I get an overlap of the PoI tooltip and the reward. Please see the included screenshot.

Need to ask some questions. Do you get any LUA errors? When you have the guide selection window open what number does that show at the bottom left? Are you playing on a Blizzard server or a private server? And then for some odd things, have you tried full screen map as well as the small map? Have you tried hiding the quest log attached to the right of the map? Have you tried renaming the Interface and WTF folders so that everything is a "fresh" install?

The only thing I haven't done is to do a fresh install of WoW. Maybe one of the addons I tried and uninstalled caused an issue?

Here are some steps to try. This will eliminate any possible other addon conflict and would be the same as doing a fresh WoW install without actually doing it.


1. Exit the game
2. Go to your WoW/_retail_/Cache folder and delete everything in there
3. Go to your WoW/_retail_ folder and rename the Interface and WTF folders to Interface.Old and WTF.Old
4. Run the Zygor desktop client, click the check for updates at the top, and then click on the Install button
5. Go in game to test and then let me know if that fixed it

I've done the steps you've listed and I still have the same issue.
Its definitely got me wondering what it could be...
