Did you get any kind of error when you tried to link it? You should be able to just copy the Youtube url and paste the plain url into the post.

Nevermind I got it lol apparently the way I used to do it...doesn't work anymore

I'll have our webmaster check into that error. I think what you used to do in the past embedded the video into the post and that's probably what's broken right now.
