Those 2 quests are mutually exclusive. They are both breadcrumb quests designed to take you to the same NPC in Northern Stranglethorn. You will find this with almost every zone where there is a normal named quest and a Hero's Board quest to get you to the next questing hub but you are only able to do one of them.
