Running Zygor?

I have loaded Zygor and see it in the addons section when I log into character select area. To load zygor do i have to hit play from the zygor loader or can I just log into the game as normal?

The choice is yours. The play button on the Zygor client is simply there for convenience. You can start the game with the normal battle.net launcher and should be able to enjoy the guides. If you do not have the client running in the background make sure to run it a few times a week to keep the guides updated.
