guide suggests to farm feral scar yetis to get this to drop; wowhead does not have them listed as dropping it. I think I ended up getting it from the ogres or grim totems in this zone

I think it can drop from any mob in the zone. Same goes for the equivalent one in Tanaris.

Bumping this, did you get it? Im currently almost 3 hours of straight farming, gotten 50k xp by just killing these and nothing, not a single drop. Not sure why he even bothered to add this in because it's actually a posibility that you will never get it.

Edit: I decided to skip the quest, since I started to loose so much time, soon after it actually dropped of the Grimtoten raider in a later quest, so dont get stuck there forever, it seems that ALOT of mobs can drop this.

I did get it relatively soon after abandoning the ooze area. The oozes have a much lower drop rate than other mobs. I would suggest ignoring the location suggestion and continuing on in the zone. It drops from humanoids at a much higher rate.

Edit whoops wrong beacon. Yea I did eventually get it from a grimtotem.

We will likely be removing these beacon quests entirely. It will add a little extra grinding, due to a couple of quests being removed, but that may feel better than grinding for hours for a really low drop rate item. Until they are removed, you can just skip them.
