Gear advisor - Willow Gloves of the Owl

I just got a better set of gloves but the gear advisor does not agree.
Willow Gloves of the Owl - can't seem to find a wowhead entry for this.
18 armor
+2 int
+3 spirit
Apothecary Gloves
20 armor
+3 int
+2 spirit
Gear advisor seems to think the Willow Gloves of the Owl are better. Is spirit so much better than intellect ?

What class and spec? Have you changed the default stat weights in the options? Which stat weights are you using?

Sorry about that. Undead mage. Not changed anything from default values.

Which spec is it set to in the item score section of the settings?

It was set to Mage-Arcane. So that makes sense since that spec is very mana dependant.
I've changed it to Mage-frost now. Unfortunately I sold those hands last night by mistake and cannot check to see if they would be equipped.

But this should be sorted now. Thanks for that.

I will have to remember to check that choice on other characters as I never bothered checking before ;-)

Yeah, I've even seen it have no spec chosen for some by default.

It may be an idea to put something on the Gear Advisor page of the addon to point people to the Item Scoring page. Or even move/duplicate the spec option to the Gear Advisor page.
Considering I have been using Zygor for many years and never noticed it (I thought the Item Scoring was only for adjusting the weights and never noticed the specs on that page before), I'm sure a lot of others will be in a similar position.

I have set my talent spec in the talent advisor to the leveling spec (frost). I think it should suggest to set the gear advisor as well. I went in-game to check after reading this and it was set to arcane.
