Seriously? One quest then fly to the other side of the continent?

For example, the leveling guide takes you Thousand Needles, has you pick up about 4 quests, then it tells you to do only one of them before telling you to all the way back to Zoram'gar in Ashenvale to do one escort quest that is too low for the leveling guide. Then after that escort it has you fly to the other side of Ashenvale.

This is just ridiculous and a waste of time and in game currency on flying all over the place. I think I will be cancelling my subscription until such time as somebody at Zygor actually plays through these guides to see how messed up they are and fixes them.

I used these guides 10 years ago playing and when they were new back then, they were far more useful and you got the impression that they were being written as somebody played the game. This current guide feels like it was regurgitated from the old vanilla WoW guides and you are relying on the community to post corrections for you rather than putting in the work to pay test them.

What a disappointment.

It's not a waste of time. Right before you go there, you're at the very bottom of the Barrens, completing a quest, far south of Camp Taurajo. After that, it makes sense to run a few minutes through Thousand Needles to get the flight path, and do the 1 quest that is appropriate to do at that level, which is right next to Freewind Post. All of the other quests are too high level for you at that point, as you'll be fighting orange enemies constantly, so the main mission is to grab the flight path, which you will use later to easily fly to Freewind Post, instead of having to run all the way from Camp Taurajo again, wasting even more time.

Can confirm it wasn't a waste of time for me. I was doing the dwarf-killing quests at the bottom of the Barrens, ran to Freewind Post to pick up the flight point and a few quests. The guide also explained why I was doing this. You have to look at the big picture with Classic

Its not a waste of time.. its even efficient. You DO have to run to it at one time to learn the flightpaths to connect them so you can use them. This was the best opportunity..
