When questing through the gnome starter zone , around level 8/9 there is a quest to kill
Leper Gnomes in the North East. Also you'll just have finished or be on killing bears, tigers and trolls. It's all in the North East of zone and very close to the short cut to wetlands.
I know that later on the short cut is mentioned in the 12-20 sections but by then gear repair is up and rez sickness is increased. I suggest add it in here when above quests are done and you would have hearthed back to base.
Instead take the short cut to Wetlands and get flight point then hearth back and hand in the quests. This is what I did and would do every time.
