Gear advisor tied to quest guide?

I'd like to use the gear advisor without having the Zygor quest window open. Is there a way to do this?

I do not believe that is possible right now. As far as I know when you hide the guide viewer it prevents the guide viewer from being able to scan your bags and drops.
